SimonBart Gallery

SimonBart Gallery was founded in 2013 in Porto Cervo inside the marvelous setting of the Promenade du Port, in 2016 it opened a space in Salerno and subsequently, in 2017, it also opened its second gallery in Costa Smeralda, in the village of Poltu Quatu. In 2019 the gallery arrives in the city of Bologna, inaugurating a large exhibition space in viale Filopanti, followed after a few months by a second location in the very central via Rizzoli, under the famous Due Torri. In 2020, the second location in Porto Cervo opens, in the famous Passegiata. In 2024 the two spaces in Bologna will be incorporated into the large and very central headquarters in Piazza Cavour.

The artistic terrain in which the gallery operates is contemporary, immediately taking shape as a laboratory for spreading new Italian and international trends and establishing itself, over time, as a center for the enhancement and discussion of emerging and historicized artists, attracting prestigious collectors as well as passionate young visitors.

The Sardinian galleries are in a geographical position of great importance, not only for the landscape in which they are immersed but especially for the tourist features that make them a border area between Italy and the world, offering the possibility of a continuous dialogue between different cultures. It is on this strength that the Gallery has developed its mission: making possible the exchange between national and international artists, between Italian and international market, in order to enrich and implement contemporary artistic culture.

Gallery: a place for meetings

The idea of a gallery as a place for meetings and for a participatory research leaves ample space for sharing and for collaboration with other actors from the Italian and international scene, artistic and otherwise. In fact, there is no lack of occasions in which SimonBart dialogues with public and private entities for the realization of the set cultural objectives, of which are examples the collaboration with the prestigious English car manufacturer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, the exhibition at the Collezione delle Cere Anatomiche “Luigi Cattaneo” for the Sistema Museale di Ateneo of the University of Bologna and the one at “La Quadreria” Museum of Palazzo Rossi Poggi Marsili during ART CITY Bologna 2020. Among the latest international initiatives there is the retrospective exhibition dedicated to Leonardo Cremonini, whose artworks are present in the most important art collections in the world such as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the MOMA in New York, the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence.
