ABOUT LOUISE ALEXANDER GALLERY
Established in 2007, Louise Alexander Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Sardinia recognised for its dynamic exhibition programme spanning both traditional mediums and the innovative realms of AI and generative art. The gallery was the first to introduce contemporary art to Porto Cervo – the extraordinary town designed by Aga Khan, as part of a unique cultural initiative to bring contemporary art and design to a region known for its natural and architectural splendour.
At its primary location in Sardinia and through its nomadic exhibition model, the gallery works with both established and emerging artists to present a varied exhibition programme that offers a dynamic and evolving experience for visitors. As the exclusive representative of the Guy Bourdin Estate amongst other prominent artists, the gallery has played a crucial role in shaping artistic careers, presenting a wealth of archival material as part of their programme. In 2019, the gallery expanded its vision to the West Coast with the opening of AF Projects in Los Angeles. This space serves as a crucible for artistic and cultural engagement, focusing on supporting and showcasing local and US-based artists.
With its unique geographical positioning and commitment to a broad spectrum of artistic expressions, the gallery has carved its place in the contemporary art market over the past decade, and remains a vibrant player both on a local and international level.
